Emily McMillan

Head of School at Fordham

Fordham Primary School

Emily’s educational journey has been both enriching and diverse. She completed her BA Honours in Primary Education at Oxford Brookes, with a specialization in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Her passion for education led her to a remarkable 16-year teaching career.
During her degree, Emily seized the opportunity to explore beyond borders. A visit to a local school in The Gambia ignited her interest in international school connections. Over the years, she has expanded her experiences by visiting Ghana twice with her first school. In 2018, she had the privilege of visiting Fordham’s Kenyan partner school.
Emily’s professional journey began at Lawford Primary School, where she honed her teaching skills. Later, she assumed the role of Deputy Headteacher at Fordham All Saints in 2015. Her teaching expertise spans across various age groups, from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 5. Currently, she teaches in Year 3 and 4.
Now, as part of the LIFE Education Trust, Emily holds the position of Head of School at Fordham. She eagerly anticipates collaborating with the growing team of professionals within the LIFE Trust schools. Her dedication to education and international connections continues to shape her impactful career.
