Jan has worked in education for over 25 years, most of which has been in within a specialist provision. During that time, she has held many positions including teacher, subject lead for English, maths and science, lead for accreditation, TLR for Secondary, Assistant Head for Secondary and Head of School for Secondary. Jan completed the NPQML in 2015 and the NPQSL in 2016 along with holding a Level 5 in Coaching and Mentoring. Jan is passionate about supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential from their individual starting points, as well as supporting staff to ensure they have the skills and feel confident to overcome any barriers to learning that young people with additional needs have.
