Big week of Awards for LIFE!

Big week of Awards for LIFE!

Last week LIFE were delighted to be nominated for not just one, not two, but three different awards for excellence in Education.

First off, CEO Julian Dutnall and CFOO Tamsin Owens, along with LIFE mascot Zoe Bear, attended the Optimus MAT Excellence Awards in central London, where the Trust were proud to be shortlisted for Wellbeing Trust of the Year. They heard from and met presenter Jason Mohommad as well as spending time with Leora Cruddas CBE and over 400 great educators.

Next congratulations were in order for LIFE Affiliated school, Spring Meadow Primary – who are part of the Harwich Education Partnership – and Spring Meadow Headteacher, Nicky Patrick who is also the Partnership Lead, on receiving the School Partnership Award at the Essex Teaching Awards, in recognition of the impact of their Diversity & Inclusion Festival. The award was presented by Kerrie McGrory, who spoke about how the festival brought together the whole community in an event that was educational, inspirational and fun across 13 locations in Harwich to celebrate and raise awareness of Inclusion and Diversity in all its forms.

And finally, to round off the celebrations, Bridget Mizen, one of our longstanding MDAs and cleaners at Roxwell, received a Lifetime Achievement Award, also at the Essex Teaching Awards. Having worked at Roxwell for 26 years she has made a huge contribution to the school and we are delighted that she received this recognition.

Well done to everyone involved in these excellent achievements!
